Prediction of Treatment Adherence by Satisfaction and Patient's Attitude towards the Therapy
The objective of this study is to find the underlying factors within satisfaction toward substance abuse therapy and use the satisfaction and attitude toward the therapy to predict overall patient satisfaction and patient adherence toward therapy. The result found that the satisfaction toward substance abuse therapy can be divided into four factors: 1) satisfaction toward personnel, 2) satisfaction toward service and therapy, 3) satisfaction toward therapy place, and 4) satisfaction toward responding to patient's needs. After that, we found that the satisfaction and attitude toward substance abuse therapy explain about 30% of patient adherence variance. The major factors contributing to patient adherence were satisfaction toward personnel and satisfaction toward service and therapy.
